About Southwest Prevention
The State of Utah has designated 13 Local Substance Abuse Authorities (LSAA) to provide professional expertise in Substance Use Prevention & Education on a local level. Southwest Behavioral Health Center is the Local Authority for the Southwest Five Counties of Utah:
Southwest Prevention Services currently staff trained & licensed prevention specialists in all five counties, and have a personnel of 24 prevention employees. These staff are educated and qualified through local, state and national trainings, and provide consulting and education to community leaders, educators, public agencies and citizens. All of our staff have an open-door policy and encourage any-and-all community members to contact them for substance use and mental illness prevention/education services and questions.
