Tiffany Johnson

Professional:

I serve as the Prevention Specialist and Coalition Coordinator for the Parowan Prevention Coalition through Southwest Behavioral Health Center. A longtime Parowan resident, I am passionate about strengthening the community I have proudly called home for more than 26 years.
Before joining Southwest Behavioral Health Center, I worked as a paraprofessional at Parowan Elementary School for 10 years. I cherished the opportunity to work alongside students each day, helping them learn, grow, and build confidence. Watching the positive difference I could make in their lives inspired my passion for supporting youth and families.
Following my time in education, I worked as a Data Specialist, where I developed strong skills in organization, collaboration, problem-solving, team building and process improvement. I now combine those professional skills with my love for community service in my role as Prevention Specialist.
I have also been actively involved in the Parowan community, serving on the boards for both Parowan Youth Football and Parowan Little League. These experiences reinforced my belief that strong communities are built when families, schools, and organizations work together to create positive opportunities for young people.

Personal:
I was born and raised in Salina, Utah, and have proudly called Parowan home for more than 26 years. My husband and I have been married for 26 years, and together we’ve raised five amazing children. Our family has continued to grow with a wonderful daughter-in-law and granddaughter, and spending time with them is one of my greatest joys.

I love being involved in my community and believe that small towns are special because of the people who are willing to serve and support one another. In my free time, you’ll usually find me spending time with family, traveling, decorating my home, tackling DIY projects, crafting, or planning gatherings and celebrations. I also enjoy supporting local youth activities and finding creative ways to bring people together.
I believe that kindness, connection, and a strong sense of community can make a lasting difference. I’m excited to continue building relationships and serving the community that has given so much to my family over the years.

Why I chose prevention:
I chose to work in prevention because I believe the greatest impact we can make is before challenges become crises. Every young person deserves positive role models, opportunities to succeed, and a community that believes in them. Growing up and raising my family in a small community has shown me the importance of strong relationships and working together. I’m excited to help build those connections and support programs that empower youth, strengthen families, and make Parowan an even better place to live.
