Personal:
I was born and raised in Cedar City. As the youngest of five children I learned to love camping on Cedar mountain, extracting honey from bees, and how to grow and harvest a beautiful garden. I was taught how to bottle and preserve everything possible. After graduation from high school I spent a short time in Salt Lake before moving to Panguitch. My husband and I have been here for 20 years and we love it. It is a wonderful place to raise a family with wonderful people. We are blessed to have mountains and lakes close by to enjoy together.

Why I chose prevention:
My job in Prevention started out as just that, a “job”. But as I learn and become more involved, I have come to realize what an important thing prevention is. Finding ways to help family’s bond and become closer to each other to reduce risk factors that cause substance use has become exciting and fun. Prevention training has not only helped me help other families but it has been a key ingredient in recognizing ways that I can become closer to my family. I love that we are always finding new ways every day to use evidence-based strategies to coordinate fun events in our community to bring families closer.
