She completed a internship at Southwest Behavioral Health Center a few years ago and was hired on after graduation. She has been trained in Substance Abuse and Prevention Skills Training (SAPST), QPR, and Mental Health First Aid.

Why I chose prevention:
I chose to work in prevention because I saw a pattern of treating problems through intervention when they got severe and saw the outcomes that resulted from that. I found a passion in actually preventing people from having to experience those hardships through protective factors that ANYONE can do, whether or not you have education in prevention.
