Personal:
I was raised in Lovell, Wyoming. A place that I still call home. My wife is from southern Utah and we have been married since 2003. We have 6 kids. I work full-time at the resort Ruby’s Inn located right outside Bryce Canyon National Park. Besides my hobbies, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.

Why I chose prevention:
When the Bryce Valley position was opened, I had a friend encourage me to check it out. Even though I didn’t have a formal prevention background, I still felt a connection and desire to be part of it. I believe everyone has been impacted by substance abuse or suicide in one way or another. I soon learned that many of my core beliefs and feelings were found in prevention science and the efforts of those who work in prevention. The work is noble and changes the lives and individuals and communities. I wanted to be part of that work!
