Personal:
I was born and raised on the Navajo reservation in beautiful Monument Valley, UT. I am part of a large Navajo family that extends to great lengths due to my ancestral connections through my clans. I have a deep respect and embrace for my Navajo culture; and a great appreciation to learn cultures from around the world. It took me some time to find my educational calling, but when Sociology and I crossed paths, it was a great love worth waiting for.

Why I chose prevention:
During my study of sociology at Dixie State University, I was very fortunate to find part-time work at the Southwest Behavioral Health Center. As I began to receive training and guidance in the Prevention department, I started to believe sociology was not the end of my calling. Prevention work has changed my life, and I am so fortunate to work alongside an incredible team.
