Hobbies:
  • I love being with my friends and the activities we do, such as, snowboarding, rodeoing, trips to St. George and stupid stuff that kids do.
  • I love a good sunset. The sky is beautiful and I love watching the clouds move or staring the the stars.
  • Traveling is one of the favorite things to do. I have been lucky enough to see all parts of the world while being young.

Personal:

What's up?! My name is Rylee and I'm from Riverton, Utah, just a town up north. I am currently working on receiving my bachelor's degree in psychology and then will move onto my master's in social work. When I get older, I hope to work in a private practice as a therapist to young adults and adolescents. I choose southern Utah because I wanted to be far from home but not too far and who can say no to those red rocks. I have loved living in Cedar City and have definitely turned it into my new home.
I have a great group of friends that make me laugh 24/7, but that's not very hard to do to me. If you ever need a confidence boost, I laugh at almost everything. I have been lucky enough to be able to travel at such a young age and have that group of friends come with me. We are looking for a new place to go for Spring Break, any recommendation?

Why I chose prevention:

Before joining the Southwest Behavioral team, I worked at a residential treatment center. My favorite part about the job was being able to help the teenage girls overcome their addictions. While working residential treatment, I took a drug and behavior class which caught my interest. I was lucky enough to find Southwest Behavioral Health Center while they were looking for part time Prevention Specialist. So here I am! Ready to learn and explore more.
