Personal:
I grew up in Emery County, in the small towns of Ferron and Castle Dale. I was not sure what my career path would be after high school, but I knew I loved community work, which eventually led me to loving sociology. I came to Cedar City in the Fall of 2020 to earn my degree at Southern Utah University. This volunteer position opened up and sounded perfect for me! My goal after school is to work with the community and help marginalized and impoverished communities, so being a VISTA is a great fit to prepare myself for future opportunities.
