Professional:
I began working with Youth when I was 21. I started working in private facilities that involved ranch life to normal home settings. I made a career move to JJS where I had the opportunity to work in a secure setting. Where I learned the legal side of how to help youth. Through JJS I was able to work in the middle and high schools in Iron County and youth in a secure setting teaching skill development program that included: Advancing Decision making and Problem solving (ADAPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Why Try, Thinking for a change. I have received certificates of completion in Motivational Interview (M.I), and Trust based relationship intervention (TBRI)

Personal:
I was born and raised in Utah. Growing up I have always been involved in sports: wrestling, football, baseball, weightlifting and rugby. I love my family and the work that I have the opportunity to do. Southern Utah is where I call home.

Why I chose prevention:
I decided to work with the SBHC prevention team because I enjoy sharing the skills and knowledge, I have learned to help prepare them for possible difficulties in their future.
